Michelle Huber Photography Cori & Jake's Afton Alps wedding

Cori & Jake were married on friday at Afton Alps. They have many fond memories of Afton Alps, and are very "out doorsy" so it made perfect sense for them to get married there, and what an amazing venue for a wedding! It was truly a photographer's dream wedding with all of the nature/country themed decor and beautiful surroundings. To top that, I don't think I know a more loving, faith centered couple. I could go on and on, but I'm sure you just want to see the pictures. :)

Michelle Huber Photography-Emily & Jesse's wedding

Emily is a neighbor of mine from our old neighborhood in Cottage Grove. She and her brother went to junior high, high school, and are friends with my oldest son Andrew. I was thrilled of course when they asked me to photograph their wedding! Actually, I think I told Emily that my feelings would have been hurt if she had not asked me! Emily chose a beautiful wedding theme of ocean sand & sea shells, her colors were sand beige, brown, and a few different pretty shades of turquoise. Emily and Jesse are such a fun couple, Emily is so funny, she just cracks me up! I had so much fun spending the day with her. You may notice a groomsman missing from the group, as one of the bridesmaids walks alone down the aisle. Sadly, Emily's brother passed away a few months before the wedding. A few other items of special meaning include a tiny locket sized frame with a photo of Emily's brother on her bouquet, and a framed photograph that was held in the family portraits. These items of remembrance were such a nice touch to acknowledge the loss of Emily's brother. Congratulations to them again-they had such a beautiful wedding day surrounded by friends and family who love them! I know what a hard time Emily has had with the loss of her brother, it was nice to see her smile, and wonderful to be with them on their special day!
